Mega Construction Inc. was founded in 2008 with nothing more than a set of hand tools, a table saw, and a small 6x10 enclosed trailer pulled by a half-ton Ford pickup. We started our journey in the roofing industry, learning the trade from the ground up. As our experience and reputation grew, we began branching out into custom home builds, remodels, and additions, steadily growing our crew to meet the increasing demand for quality construction in our community.

From one person with a trailer full of tools, we have grown into a team that averages 25 skilled employees and have expanded into a family of companies that includes Go Green Insulation and Fireplace Glow. Today, Mega Construction Inc. specializes in custom built homes, Lester buildings, steel buildings, remodels, and additions. Our growth over the years is a direct reflection of the trust our customers have placed in us and the dedication our team brings to every single project.

Meet the Team

Kurt Preszler

Kurt Preszler, who grew up in Roscoe, South Dakota, has always embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication. Growing up in a close-knit community, he learned the value of craftsmanship from an early age, spending summers immersed in construction projects alongside his family. After graduating from Edmund Central High School (ECHS) in Roscoe SD, Kurt took a step toward his future by enrolling at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS), where he pursued a degree in business management.

Following his studies, Kurt ventured into the telecommunications field, working on cell and TV towers for six years. This role not only honed his technical skills but also instilled in him a sense of resilience and teamwork that would serve him well in the years to come.

In a beautiful twist of fate, Kurt married his high school sweetheart wife Nayda, and together they embarked on a new chapter in their lives. With a shared vision for their family, Kurt returned to his roots in construction—a field that had always inspired him. In 2008, he founded Mega Construction, a name that draws from the love he has for his (at the time) two children: Max, Elizabeth, Grayson, and Ayden.

Kurt's family has continued to grow, now including three kids and a spirited dog. The playful energy of his household perfectly mirrors the ethos of his business, where teamwork and creativity come together to build something remarkable. The names of his children—Max, Elizabeth, Grace, and AJ—fit seamlessly into the narrative of Mega Construction, embodying both his personal and professional life.

Through his journey, Kurt has balanced his passion for construction with a commitment to family, creating a legacy that blends hard work, love, and community spirit. His story is one of dedication and the enduring belief that with the right foundation, anything is possible.

Joe Ludwig, a proud lifelong resident of Aberdeen, South Dakota, has dedicated over three decades to the art of sales management. Known for his commitment to customer satisfaction and his ability to build lasting relationships, Joe has become a respected figure in the local business community.

After spending 15 years honing his skills in sales management, Joe took a bold step in 2022 by founding Fireplace Glow, a company focused on providing high-quality fireplace products and services. Under his leadership, Fireplace Glow has quickly established itself as a go-to resource for homeowners seeking warmth and comfort in their living spaces.

In addition to his role at Fireplace Glow, Joe also serves as a salesman for Mega Construction and Go Green Insulation, where he leverages his extensive experience to help clients find energy-efficient solutions for their homes. His passion for sustainability and innovation drives his efforts to promote eco-friendly building practices within the community.

With a deep-rooted connection to Aberdeen and a wealth of knowledge in sales management, Joe Ludwig continues to make a significant impact on the local market, enhancing the homes and lives of those he serves.

Butch Jones is from the vibrant Chicago area, where he has spent his life immersed in the construction industry. With over 30 years of experience under his belt, Butch’s expertise spans a wide range of construction disciplines, showcasing his versatility and commitment to quality workmanship. He began his career as a union worker, dedicating 12 years to honing his skills and understanding the intricacies of the trade.

Throughout his extensive career, Butch has tackled various construction projects, from residential builds to commercial developments, demonstrating his adaptability and dedication to the craft. His hands-on experience and deep knowledge of the industry have earned him respect among peers and clients alike. Beyond his professional life, Butch is passionate about outdoor activities. He enjoys swimming, hunting, and fishing, often spending weekends on the water or in nature. Ice fishing is a particular favorite, allowing him to embrace the beauty of winter while pursuing his love for the sport. Whether he’s on a boat or by the shore, Butch finds peace and joy in the great outdoors, balancing his hardworking career with his adventurous spirit.
